Haute Couture:
A Small Market

Today only 2,000 women in the world buy couture clothes;

60% are American.

Only 200 are regular customers.

Often, designers will loan clothes to movie stars or other public figures for publicity.
Staggering Prices

Each dress usually takes from 100 to 400 hours to make one dress, costing from $26,000 to $100,000.

There are numerous world famous fashion designers who are responsible for collections in French couture houses with a huge number of designers working for international brands throughout the world – in New York, Milan and the Far East.

These are strictly high fashion art pieces marketing ready-to-wear line.

What are Designer Clothing?

Some designers work with high street chains to create clothes which are accessible to everyone offering designer clothing, with the Haute Couture look, at affordable prices.
